(KGNS) - Workforce Solutions of South Texas began hosting youth program orientations Thursday, Oct. 8, and plans to continue the sessions every Thursday.

Orlando Gonzalez with Workforce Solutions of South Texas said the orientations are for youth ages 17 to 24 interested in pursuing a career, including those without experience or those about to graduate without plans to pursue higher education.

The first orientation began at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at 1406 Jacaman Rd Suite A. Gonzalez said the program offers a variety of vocational options depending on participants' interests, including nurse assistant, dental assistant, welding and electrician training.
