ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Dr. John Kuhn, former Abilene ISD superintendent and director of multilingual achievement, has left the district and returned to Mineral Wells ISD.

AISD leadership confirmed that Kuhn's departure was effective September 30, 2026.

He previously served as superintendent before stepping down in February following a health incident.
