(KXII) - Halloween is less than 48 hours away in Texoma, and the color of a child's candy pail can sometimes signal different needs.
Blue pails may signal a child has autism and might communicate differently.
What blue pails can meanBrina Dutton, founder of the Owen Academy and Foundation, said not every child with autism will carry a blue bucket."That doesn't mean that every child who has autism is going to be carrying a blue bucket, but the ones who are that is usually the way they designate. Hey, this child has autism so they could be nonverbal," Dutton said.
