The National Museum of the Pacific War welcomed approximately 100 guests to the Historic Nimitz Ballroom on Saturday, Aug. 8, for a celebration honoring the birthday and legacy of the Women Airforce Service Pilots.

The WASP Birthday Party featured cake, hands-on activities and WASP-themed trivia designed to introduce visitors of all ages to the women who provided essential aviation services during World War II. Among those in attendance were Lindy Segal and Gail Dalrymple, both children of women who served as WASP.

Gail's mother, WASP Mildred Dalrymple, was from Llano, Texas.
