After a slow tubing season in 2025, the 2026 season brought business back and better for local river outfitters.

Last summer, The Herald-Zeitung reported that New Braunfels saw fewer visitors than normal, largely due to the floods that swept through the Texas Hill Country over the July 4 weekend.

The flood, paired with ongoing drought conditions, meant people were less eager to get in the rivers.
