Owen Halfmann, a local high school-aged student, has been selected as one of six delegates to compete in the inaugural Texas Youth Forum, hosted by the Texas Section Society for Range Management.

Halfmann earned the honor following his performance at the 71st annual Youth Range Workshop, a six-day hands-on environmental and agricultural training camp held in June.

Adult directors selected Halfmann based on his leadership, passion for natural resources and public speaking abilities.
