SOMERSET, Texas - There is a community effort underway to help Somerset Independent School District students whose show animals were killed in dog attacks.

According to Somerset ISD, dogs got into the animal holding areas at the district's FFA Agriculture Department barn and ended up killing 16 sheep, goats, and pigs.

"It's unfortunate what happened this past weekend," said Rene Perez, the manager of Jupe Mills, a feed store and mill in Somerset.
