TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Tyler City Council approved the construction of a golf driving range at the CampV property on Hillcrest Avenue in Tyler, marking a step toward the first public driving range in the city.

Earlier this year, the Tyler Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved CampV's request to build a 10-bay covered golf driving range near Hillcrest Avenue and West Front Street.

CampV Executive Director Travis Gladhill previously stated veterans will play for free, while the civilian public will pay a fee, with proceeds funding the nonprofit's veterans programs.
