CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas - Human remains found in Caldwell County last weekend were identified as those of a Texas State student whose disappearance had been a nearly six-year-old cold case, the Texas Attorney General's office confirmed.

Investigators identified the remains as Jason Landry through DNA tests, according to a news release from Ken Paxton's office.

The 21-year-old student had been missing since December 13, 2020.
