DENISON, Texas (KXII) - Denison city officials agreed Thursday night to extend construction deadlines at the Foundation Business Park north of town after tariffs slowed progress, forcing companies off their original timelines.

Tiffany Barney-Harolds, Vice President of Business Development for the Denison Development Alliance, said all plots at the business park have been sold but several buyers have not yet broken ground.

She said rising tariffs created uncertainty and threw off the plans for several businesses, including an 80,000 square foot and a 50,000 square foot warehouse."The tariffs hit, and that halted a lot of the construction," Barney-Harolds said.
