Two types of squishy dumpling toys have been recalled after federal safety officials warned that water beads inside the toys can expand if swallowed, creating potentially life-threatening hazards for children.

The recalls, announced Sept. 3 by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, involve about 15,200 toys combined.
