A now-former Southwest ISD police officer was taken into custody Sunday after allegedly leaving a child alone for several hours on the Southeast Side, according to the preliminary report.
San Antonio police responded at 3:45 a.m. in the 8200 block of Inner Circle Drive after someone reported a child crying in a hallway, the preliminary report said.
Officers found a 5-year-old boy who claimed he had been left alone for an unknown amount of time, SAPD said.
