WACO, Texas - TxDOT will close both directions of I-35 main lanes between 12th Street and New Road beginning at midnight Friday as crews remove the South Valley Mills Drive flyover structure, part of the long-term My 35 Waco South construction project.

The closure is expected to last through early Sunday morning, with Saturday expected to see the most significant traffic impact, according to TxDOT Waco District Public Information Officer Jake Smith.
