The Republican Women of Kerr County donated 64 new paperback books to the Kerr County Jail library at its September general meeting in recognition of National Literacy Month.

The organization's "Turn a Page" book drive exceeded its collection goal.

Jeanne Bessee, education and literacy chair, presented the books to Capt. Blizzard and Lt. Jenkins of the Kerr County Sheriff's Office.
