HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities in northwest Harris County are investigating a deadly shooting during a home invasion, according to Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's Office.

Just before 9 a.m. Tuesday, Pct. 4 shared on social media that deputies were responding to the 15700 block of Misty Hollow Drive following reports of gunfire involving a home intruder.

According to preliminary reports, a resident encountered an unknown individual on his property, and a shooting took place.
