The first of seven ranked opponents on the Brownwood Lions' scrimmage and regular season schedules will invade Gordon Wood Stadium Thursday evening for the initial preseason scrimmage of the 2026 football campaign.

Brock is ranked No. 6 in Class 4A Division II by Dave Campbell's Texas Football coming into the season, while the Lions appear at No. 24 in the rankings.

"Brock is a powerhouse in 4A Division II," said Lions second-year head coach Jeryl Brixey.
