One person is dead after a crash early Wednesday morning on the East Freeway in Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported around 12:24 a.m. Sept. 9 on the eastbound lanes of the East Freeway, east of Monmouth.

According to HCSO Watch Command, the crash involved one vehicle and one person was confirmed dead.
