The Hutto Hippos varsity football team picked up a 67-41 victory over the Converse Judson Rockets on Friday, Sept. 4 at Judson High School, earning its first win of the season and moving to 1-1 overall.

The Hippos' offense exploded for 67 points, marking Hutto's highest- scoring game since 2023, when the Hippos fell to Liberty Hill 82-80 in a high-scoring shootout.

Hutto got off to a fast start when senior athlete Jaiden Fields scooped up a fumble and returned it for a touchdown on the first play of the game to give the Hippos an early 7-0 lead.
