A Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office deputy responding to a burglary call late Sunday had to fight for his life before arresting one alleged assailant after a second suspect fled, authorities said.
The altercation resulted in deputies arresting a woman and a man on various charges, Guadalupe County Sheriff's Lt. Zachary McBride said.
The man and woman reportedly battled with the deputy, tried to take his Taser and attempted to choke him with the cord to his police radio as he was attempting to arrest the man, the lieutenant said.
