As World War II came to an end, the drive-In theater reached its golden age.
In 1933 there were more than 4,000 outdoor screens across the country, fueled by the baby boomers and the car culture.
With rationing left behind, the 1950s gave every citizen the opportunity to own a car and enjoy the most popular entertainment of the period, the drive-in theater.
