(KXII) - Kingston students are marking 25 years since the Sept. 11 attacks by honoring local first responders."It was a day in history that we can't forget. It impacted everyone that was around the world, our country," said Lander Burkhalter, a Kingston senior.

Students create cards and care kitsHealthCorps, a non-profit, is helping students honor local heroes on the anniversary.

Students made thank you cards and care kits to give to local first responders."We don't see everything they do for us, especially in the heat. It gets hot and they show up, taking time from their families to help us out," Burkhalter said.
