SALEM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A North Carolina teen has been charged in connection with a mass shooting that happened at an Islamic center in California.

The 17-year-old Winston-Salem girl recorded a livestream of a shooting that killed three people at a San Diego mosque and disseminated the attackers' white-supremacist writings, Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O'Neill said.

The girl has been charged with murder by aiding and abetting, O'Neill said at a Monday afternoon news conference.
