COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Twenty-five years after the September 11 terrorist attacks, Texas A&M's Bush School of Government and Public Service paid tribute to one of the day's most well-known heroes and gave a platform to three men who lived through it.

The school's remembrance ceremony honored Welles Crowther, known as the "Man in the Red Bandana," who died helping others escape the World Trade Center's South Tower on 9/11.

Crowther, a gift from his father in hand, used the bandana to breathe through smoke as he guided more than a dozen people to safety before going back in one final time.
