Construction crews working in the 2300 block of Loop 337, near the south entrance to the Veramendi subdivision, struck a large gas line Friday morning, according to the New Braunfels Fire Department.

Residents may smell the natural gas odor as it is carried by wind across the area.

Centerpoint Energy, New Braunfels Utilities and the New Braunfels Fire Department are on scene working to address the issue.
