ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - A bill that would expand Big Bend National Park by more than 6,000 acres is making its way through Congress.
Congressman August Pfluger has been describing H.R. 2323 as common sense legislation."This is a common sense piece of legislation, it's taken years to get to this point," Pfluger said.
Pfluger took over as bill's sponsorPfluger took over as the bill's sponsor after the resignation of former Congressman Tony Gonzales left the Big Bend region without representation in Congress."Our constituents people who live right here in West Texas in the district that I represent have asked me to take up this mantle and we've done exactly that," Pfluger said.
