COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - While you may be familiar with the game-day sound of the Fightin Texas Aggie Band, their sound echoes across campus every morning."I came to a game when I was younger and I saw the band march in, I saw the Corps of Cadets march in And I was like, man, I look at these guys like they're superheroes. And so I wanted to be that for some other kid," said Adam Arnold, a Corps of Cadets member and Class of 2027. For over 130 years, their performances have filled Kyle Field and performed for Aggies at halftime of games.

For some cadets, they are carrying on that legacy through generations of their family."So, I'm a third-generation Aggie. My grandfather went here and then later went into the Air Force. And both of my parents came here for their degrees," said Tandy Ford, a Class of 2027 Cadet."Yeah, so my dad was in the Corps. He was a part of the Aggie band. So I just wanted to do everything that he did because I heard all the stories and I loved it," said Trey Moran, another Class of 2027 Cadet.

Moran's father was in the Fightin Texas Aggie Band in the early 2000's, and he now plays the same instrument his dad once played."Yeah, so we both play trumpet. So, my dad, my uncle, I play trumpet, and then my younger brother plays trumpet as well. The shared experience I have with my dad has definitely grown us closer in my four years here," said Moran.
