WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The 85-year-old Central Texan has done it again - shooting a dove on opening day for the 80th year in a row.
Dudley Haas, of Waco, says as long as he can do it, he plans to keep the tradition alive."I call September 1 New Year's Day because that's the start of hunting season," Haas told KWTX in 2025.
Haas has hunted on the opening day of dove season every year since he was 5 years old, when his late father, Charlie, first took him out in South Texas.
