(KGNS) - Laredo police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who allegedly hit a city public works employee and left the scene.

According to the Laredo Police Department, the incident happened just before noon at the corner of Corpus Christi Street and Cedar Avenue.

Witnesses say the worker was removing orange traffic cones from the road when a passing car hit his hand.
