A former Katy police officer is facing two felony charges after prosecutors say he used law enforcement technology he had access to through his job to track his ex-wife for months.

Sergio Guadalupe Rodriguez is charged with stalking and misuse of official information, both third-degree felonies, according to Fort Bend County court records.

Two separate indictments accuse Rodriguez of using the Katy Police Department's Flock license plate reader system to track his ex-wife, Kayland Johnson, between November 2024 and April 2025.
