FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) - The U.S. Army has halted all Apache helicopter training missions following a fatal crash near Salado earlier this week that killed two Fort Hood soldiers.
The Army has identified the soldiers as Warrant Officer Seth L. Olmstead, 25, and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Deontre T. Huey, 34. Both were Killeen ISD graduates.
Olmstead and Huey were conducting a maintenance test flight in an Apache helicopter Tuesday afternoon when the Army said a mishap occurred and the aircraft crashed near Salado.
