GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KXII) - A PayPal refund scam that cost five victims across Texas nearly $150,000 has led to a 20-year prison sentence for one of the men involved.

Investigators say the scheme started with an email claiming to be from PayPal."Saying that their PayPal accounts had been billed mistakenly for something and that there was a phone number to call to claim their refund," said Don Hoover, Assistant District Attorney with Grayson County.

Victims included one person from Sherman and another from Gordonville.
