MADISON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - A former Madison County sheriff's deputy is in custody after turning himself in Thursday on multiple felony charges, including the sexual assault of a child.

According to a release from Madison County Sheriff Bobby Adams, Jerry Reyes turned himself in on Aug. 13, 2026, to the Burleson County Sheriff's Office in Caldwell.

Reyes faces charges of possession of child pornography and sexual assault of a child.
