FANNIN COUNTY, Texas (KXII) - Fire crews from across Fannin County are working to fully contain a large grass fire that sparked Tuesday afternoon near the Red River.

Emergency officials in Fannin County report the fire has burned 30 acres, with 80% contained as of Wednesday morning.

First responders were called out around noon Tuesday, Sept. 15, to reports of a fast-moving fire off County Road 2000, located east of State Highway 78 and just south of the Red River.
