ATHENS, Texas (KLTV) - 392nd District Court Judge R. Scott McKee sentenced an Athens man to 30 years in prison last week for possessing child pornography.

The court convicted Kevin Eugene Jones, 66, on five counts of possessing child pornography Thursday after he pleaded guilty in July, according to court records.

During his sentencing, McKee heard that the investigation began June 13, 2024, when the Henderson County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children that illicit material was being viewed on a device in Henderson County.
