BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - A troubled data center project on Texas A&M's RELLIS Campus could be moving forward - and bringing new money to Brazos County.
On Tuesday, Brazos County commissioners approved transferring the tax abatement agreement tied to the $700 million data center project to a new company, ThisWay Global, Inc. The vote passed 4-0, with one commissioner absent.
The land the project sits on is owned by the Texas A&M University System, meaning it's currently non-taxable.
