MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - According to the Midland Police Department, officers have received an increase in calls about scammers pretending to be from a bank and claiming a resident's bank account has been compromised.

MPD reminds residents never to give account numbers, passwords, or PINs to unsolicited callers.

Anyone who receives these calls should hang up immediately and contact their bank directly.
