Uber driver says app routed her onto damaged Waller roads, leaving her with costly car repairs

An Uber driver claims the app's routing algorithm directed her onto damaged roads in Waller County, resulting in significant vehicle repairs.

WALLER, Texas - When Ashley Marrocelli used Uber's Destination Mode to drive from Katy to Waller, she expected the app to help her find riders heading in the same direction.

Instead, she says the app routed her onto miles of isolated back roads, including Pennick Road near Hebert Road in Waller.

"I mean, the roads were completely broken up," Marrocelli said.
