HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was rushed to the hospital after he was shot at an apartment complex in Houston's east side on Thursday night, investigators said.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a call at about 11:30 a.m. in the 12300 block of Fleming Drive.

A witness reported to authorities that the suspect ran up to the victim, identified by HPD as a man in his 20s, and shot at him.
