A Houston woman who threatened a federal agent with a machete back in 2025 has been sentenced to 14 months in prison.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Jennifer Jesselle Perez-Rodriguez, 29, pleaded guilty June 11. U.S. District Judge Sim Lake ordered Perez-Rodriguez to serve 14 months in federal prison to be immediately followed by three years of supervised release.
The incident happened in April 2025 near Milan Drive and East Anderson Drive as federal agents concluded a welfare check for unaccompanied children at a nearby trailer park.
