SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - The Sherman Chamber of Commerce announced the appointment of Emilie Harris as its new president and CEO on Tuesday.

Harris has served the chamber since joining in 2022, and most recently served as interim president and CEO since January of 2026."The Sherman Chamber has been home to me for the past four years, and I look forward to working alongside our Board, staff, volunteers, and community leaders to continue building a strong, vibrant business community for years to come," Harris said.

Sherman board chairman Asa Jessee said the decision to appoint Harris was a confident choice."Under her leadership, the Sherman Chamber will continue building meaningful partnerships, supporting local businesses, and advancing the economic vitality of our region," Jessee said.
