TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Multiple East Texas fire departments have sent firefighters to help combat a brush fire in Jack County.

Smith Co. ESD 2 announced that it has sent a detachment of its department to aid in efforts to combat the growing blaze.

This was done in response to a TIFMAS (Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System) request from the state government.
