JEFF DAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) - Search and rescue efforts are underway in Jeff Davis County where the sheriff's office is looking for an injured hiker.

According to the Jeff Davis County Sheriff's Office, officials are searching the area of the Fort Davis National Historic Site and Davis Mountains State Park.

Residents and visitors may notice helicopters and increased emergency responder activity in the area.
