FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) - Fort Hood officials confirmed there is no shelter-in-place order for the base in a statement Saturday afternoon.
According to the statement, Directorate of Emergency Services personnel responded to a report of an alleged security concern at Cooper Field and determined the threat was unproven."The safety and security of our soldiers, families, civilian employees, and visitors remain Fort Hood's highest priority," the statement reads.
According to the statement, officials and emergency personnel will continue to monitor and will provide updates as necessary."Community members are urged to rely exclusively on official Fort Hood communication channels for accurate information," the statement reads.
