A 600-acre fire has been reported at the Davy Crockett National Forest by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USDA Forest Service).

As of 5 p.m., the USDA Forest Service is reporting that the fire is at 40% containment and that firefighting crews are conducting firing operations that are 50% complete.

The release said that the nearest roads to the fire are Elmer Smith Road, Forest Service Road 502 and FM 358.
