LONGVIEW, Texas - The Green Street Recreation Center has proposed renovations focused on opening up the interior and making other upgrades.

The recent hire of activities coordinator Tamara Lang has helped reinvigorate the center, as she has brought in new programs and activities to encourage new membership and entice more participation from those already at the center."Our residents come for everything from bingo to arts and crafts to garden clubs to city get fit canasta," Lang said.

"So the building is used a lot. I think that the residents will really appreciate new renovations updates, and I think they deserve it."
