Houston City Council is set to vote Wednesday on a $6. 7 million contract renewal that would keep meal delivery and transportation services running for thousands of seniors across the greater Houston area through September 2027.

If the ordinance passes, nine local organizations will continue providing daily meals.

Some also offer medical rides to seniors.
