LAREDO, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than $628,000 worth of cocaine during a vehicle inspection at the Laredo Port of Entry.

What we know: The drug seizure occurred on Sept. 30 at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge.

According to CBP, a border patrol officer referred a 35-year-old Mexican woman driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue and her passenger, a 30-year-old U.S. male citizen, for a secondary inspection.
