Amazon is hiring more than 6,000 workers across the Greater Houston area for the holiday season as the company expands its workforce to meet increased demand.

The company announced plans to hire more than 300,000 seasonal, part-time and full-time employees across its U.S. operations network, including 26,500 positions in Texas.

Amazon said it will continue posting new job opportunities weekly from October through December.
