The community is rallying support for a 12-year-old boy recovering from serious injuries following a recent car crash in New Braunfels.

On Saturday, a white Chevrolet Corvette was traveling eastbound on Loop 337 near Oak Run Parkway at a high rate of speed when it failed to navigate a curve, crossed the grassy median and entered the westbound lanes, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The corvette collided with a Dodge Ram pickup that was turning left onto Oak Run Parkway before striking a stopped Tesla Model 3.
