Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1088 recently honored the Fredericksburg Fixed Base Operator for its support of a fundraiser benefiting local aviation students.

The chapter has sold more than 500 Gillespie County Airfield caps, generating more than $7,800.

Proceeds are being used to provide scholarships and financial support for local aviation students pursuing flight training and pilot certification.
